Florida's leading scorer from a season ago says he is returning to the Swamp for another season with Mike White and the Gators.

Keyontae Johnson, an All-SEC First Team selection, went to social media on Tuesday afternoon to announce his plans to return to Gainesville for his junior season.

A native of Norfolk, Va., Johnson averaged 14.0 points and 7.1 rebounds during the 2019-20 season while shooting .544 from the field. He recorded eight double-doubles on the season and earned MVP honors at the Charleston Classic as well.

"Dear Gator Nation I want to thank everyone for being with me doing this decision, and I can't wait to get back and play with my brothers again next season!" Johnson said on social media. "We've got unfinished business & the Gators will be ready to go. I'm excited to keep growing on and off the court with Coach White and our coaching staff here & keep playing in front of the Rowdy Reptiles & Gator Nation! Everybody stay safe & Go Gators!"

Johnson, who attended high school at powerhouse Oak Hill Academy, closed out the 2018 cycle as Rivals' 12th-ranked small forward and 62nd-ranked player overall. He chose the Gators over additional offers from Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Texas Tech but possessed roughly two-dozen offers overall.
