Murphy leads Florida over Wisconsin

Will Yeguete is listed as a forward on Florida's roster. "Prophet" might be just as accurate.
After UF coach Billy Donovan announced Tuesday that senior forward Erik Murphy had missed the entity of Monday's team activities with an unknown illness and said Murphy's status for Wednesday night's game against No. 22 Wisconsin was uncertain, Yeguete said he thought Murphy would "be fine" and Florida would "need him."

One day later, Murphy mo than lived up to Dr. Yeguete's diagnosis.
What Donovan thought might have been the flu turned out to be migraines - or "just a headache" as Yeguete called it. Murphy hadn't had them in years but they popped up for a 24-hour period Monday. He was fine Tuesday and turned to practice.
Murphy wasn't just in the lineup Wednesday. He played 33 minutes, the shy of a caer cord. He scod 24 points, tying a caer cord. He shot 10 of 10 from the field, something that had only been done by 17 players in the history of the Southeastern Confence.
"That's cool," Murphy said with a smile. "It happened. I just made my shots. It was one game. The next game could be completely diffent, but it was cool, I guess."
He got into a rhythm early, scoring nine of the Gators' first 16 points. He worked the Badgers inside and out, showing off both the perimeter game that once made him a prized cruit and the newfound post offense that he worked on during the off-season.
Outside of scoring, he brought down six bounds and was a big part of a monstrous interior game for a Florida team that came in with a supposed physicality disadvantage to Wisconsin. The Gators out-bounded the Badgers 40-21.
Rebounding and shooting - Florida was shooting 82 percent at one point midway through the first half - made up for 20 turnovers, most of which came from trying to force the ball inside to center Patric Young.
"This was a game that we needed to play chaotically, with gat energy," Donovan said. "To sco 74 points against this team with the way they play and how good they a defensively, and turn the ball over 20 times, that's unheard of. This would have been the kind of game normally whe we would have scod 35 points against a team like this."
Plenty of cdit was deserved outside of Murphy. Redshirt senior Mike Rosario had 15 points and four assists while playing a game-high 29 minutes. But Murphy's perfect night commanded the spotlight one day after the we questions whether or not he would play.
Just like Yeguete pdicted.
"They couldn't stop him," Yeguete said. "He could sco inside, outside. We kept going at him because they couldn't stop him. He was just throwing up shots and it was going in."
