Never satisfied approach from star CB Marco Wilson

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Marco Wilson burst onto the scene last year as a true freshman, following in his brother's footsteps as a cornerback. Wilson flashed great coverage skills and rarely gave up a play on his side of the field.

If you ask him, though, it wasn’t all that impressive.

“Honestly, I wasn’t impressed with my freshman season,” Wilson said. “I know I got a lot more to do. I don’t even, like, pay attention to what everybody says. Like I’m good, this, nah. I know I got a lot more to go and a lot of work to do because I want to be the best. I want to be known as the best and I want to end up going onto the next level, and when I get to the next level, I want to be the best there too.”

Now into his first spring under Todd Grantham, Wilson is brimming with confidence and eager to make a splash, saying he's much "smarter" from a year ago as well.

In the video above, Wilson discusses what he wants to improve on in year No. 2, new cornerbacks coach Charlton Warren, his physical growth over the offseason, the differences he's seen from Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask, and much more.
