Preview of Florida's Next Level Quarterback Camp

Florida will kickoff their final camp sessions of the summer beginning on Thursday with a two-day camp for signal callers dubbed the “Next Level Quarterback Camp”.

This camp will allow many of their top targets from around the country to work with not only Gators coaches Jim McElwain and Doug Nussmeier - but also top quarterback coaches such as George Whitfield Lavelle Durant and Eric Kresser.

The Gators will have their 2017 quarterback Jake Allen on hand for the event, which will be his first visit to Gainesviile this summer. The camp will allow the Florida staff to work one-on-one with their quarterback pledge, after being impressed with what they saw from Allen during the spring evaluation period.

Florida will have a few 2018 four-star prospects on hand as well.

Headlining that group is Franklin (Ga.) Heard County quarterback Emory Jones. The four-star visited, and was offered by the Gators back in the spring. At this time it seems Ohio State may have the slight edge early on here.

Another four-star prospect that will visit is Old Bridge (N.J.) quarterback Arthur Sitkowski. This will be Sitkowski’s first ever visit to Gainesville, and getting a chance to work out in front of the staff could lead to an eventual offer. At 6-foot-5, 205-pounds Sitkowski certainly has the frame the staff likes in a quarterback.

A prospect making the long trip from out west is Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman dual-threat quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. This four-star is back up to top 2017 quarterback Tate Martell, but Thompson-Robinson could start at many other high school across the country.

Another signal caller to watch over the next few days is Hightstown (N.J.) The Peddie School quarterback Allan Walters. Many big schools such as Alabama, Louisville and Michigan have extended offers.

A few other quarterbacks to keep an eye on at this camp are quarterbacks James Foster, Cade Fortin, Michael Penix Jr., and Casey Thompson.

The Gators will also have a top 2019 quarterback from out west on hand for the event in Sunnyvale (Calif.) Kings Academy signal caller Michael Johnson Jr.
