During the beginning weeks of the offseason, Inside the Gators will take an in-depth look at how last season went for Florida's 2016 signees who redshirted with our Redshirt Report series. Today, we focus on how last season went for offensive tackle Stone Forsythe.
Playing offensive tackle at Winter Garden (Florida) West Orange High School, Stone Forsythe towered over the competition and gave opposing defensive linemen a difficult time with his massive frame. Forsythe’s size and potential intrigued Florida enough to offer him, and soon he would go on to commit to the school he dreamed of playing for as a child while wanting to play close to home.
However, Forsythe’s first year with the program was an adjustment period, according to his father, Ray Forsythe. A redshirt year gave Forsythe the opportunity to mature and learn of the ropes involved at the college level.
