Brad Davis is reportedly leaving Florida for Missouri, according to a report by FootballScoop.com.
Davis joined the Florida staff in 2017. He was hired by former coach Jim McElwain to replace Mike Summers, who accepted a position at Louisville. Davis was one of four assistant coaches retained by new coach Dan Mullen.
John Hevesy, who coached offensive line alongside Mullen at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and Mississippi State, was hired by Mullen. Football Scoop reports that Mullen had planned for Davis to stay on as tight ends coach.
Davis becomes the second retained McElwain assistant to leave for another job in the SEC. Defensive line coach Chris Rumph has accepted a position at Tennessee on Jeremy Pruitt's staff.
Missouri will be Davis' fifth job in as many seasons. Prior to coaching at Florida in 2017, Davis was at North Texas (2016), East Carolina (2015) and James Madison (2014).
