Rivals100 Barnes is backing away from naming a leader
Since the beginning of the year Apopka (Fla.) Rivals100 offensive tackle William Barnes has been one of the most popular names in the world of recruiting. In the month of February alone Barnes was invited to both the Army All-American game and Under Armour All-American game.
On top of that he’s picked up recent offers from LSU, Nebraska, Oregon, Rutgers, and Michigan.
With so many schools in contact, Barnes has begun to notice a handful of schools that he speaks with consistently.
“I think the schools I would say that I am hearing from the most are North Carolina, Florida, Auburn, Ohio State, and Florida State,” explained Barnes. “Those are probably the schools I would say have been reaching out to me a lot.”
Barnes has been to Florida multiple times since landing the offer last fall, and has started to get to know new offensive line coach Brad Davis much better since his arrival in Gainesville.
