Rivals100 linebacker Baker flips from Florida

The hits keep coming for the Gator Nation. Not only has Florida football lost 10 of their last 13 games on the field, but as you might expect - recruiting is suffering as well. On Tuesday night the Gators lost their highest rated public commitment.
Cleveland (Ohio) Benedictine Rivals100 linebacker Jerome Baker, the No. 39 rated prospect in the nation, announced via Twitter that he was flipping from Florida to Ohio State.

The day he committed to Florida back in late July he insisted that he was solid in his commitment and finished with taking visits:
"I would say that I'm done just because it's a stressful process," said Baker back in July. "One of my dreams growing up and then as a recruit was to take my official visits just because you only have one chance to do that, but right now I don't see any other schools getting visits or anything. Just like I said about my decision, you never know what can happen, but right now I don't see myself going on any visits."
By mid September he was singing a different tune:
"Ohio State, Tennessee, and Michigan State want me to come visit," Baker told BuckeyeGrove.com. "I'm going to try and take my official visits. You can't get those back, so I definitely wouldn't mind taking them."
Baker took an unofficial visit to Ohio State in late September and an official visit to Florida two weeks ago to watch the Gators lose to LSU.
Now, after a second straight loss and calls for Will Muschamp's head, he is now committed to the program many believed he would end up with all along.
After the flip, Baker sent out a follow-up tweet thanking Florida and the Gator Nation.
I want to thank the University of Florida for a great opportunity and all of #GatorNation. Wish Florida the best moving forward.- Baker Inc. (@Lastname_Baker) October 22, 2014
With this latest defection the Gators are now ranked an unheard of 60th in the Rivals.com Team Recruiting Rankings.
