Thursday Campers update
Though it is completely out of the ordinary for the month of June, this weekend looks to be one of bigger visitor weekends of this recruiting cycle for Florida. The Gators will not only have several top high school prospects on campus this weekend visiting unofficially, but there will also be two junior college big men coming in on official visits.
One weekend after a standout performance at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour, Lewisville (Tx.) Hebron Rivals100 safety Jamal Adams will make his way to Gainesville on Friday for a visit that will expand the entire weekend. This is Adams first ever trip to UF and comes the day after he narrowed his list down to a top six of Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Ole Miss. Many believe that if Adams were to leave the state of Texas, Florida would be his likely destination, making this weekend visit wildly important for the Gators.
Also due in on Friday is Norcross (Ga.) five-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter, who will be taking his very first visit to UF. Thus far Carter has only been to Georgia and Alabama.
He will be accompanied by his family and will travel to see Florida State after leaving Florida.
Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Northridge tight end and Florida commitment C'yontai Lewis is also expected to visit this weekend. Unlike the other two, he is likely to participate in the Gators' camp. Lewis was expected to also bring his cousin, four-star running athlete Bo Scarbrough with him. However, Scarbrough now says that he won't visit Florida until July.

The
Skinny: The Gators have thrown everything but the kitchen sink thus far at Lambert. Florida defensive line coach Brad Lawing visited him in the spring and continues to be one of the schools on Lambert the hardest. Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn are the biggest threats. Getting him on campus this early has both positives and negatives. Though Lambert has high interest in the Orange & Blue, if he doesn't commit and cancel his other visits, UF will have to sit through trips to the other three SEC contenders.

The
Skinny: Talk about your quick turnarounds in recruiting, Florida just offered Lamin around the beginning of this month and then wasted no time in getting him on campus for an official visit. Offers are still rolling in for Lamin, but he narrowed things down to a top eight, which Florida made the cut. Going into the visit, the Gators seem to be in a better spot for Lambert at this time, but perhaps things can change if Lamin enjoys his time in the Sunshine State.
