Snead sees Texas, again

There are Internet rumors of Florida commitment, Stephenville (Tx.) quarterback, Jevan Snead and his family being in Austin over the weekend taking in the Longhorns victory over Texas Tech.
As it turns out, those rumors are only half true. Snead updated about his weekend and where he stands with his commitment to Florida.
"No Sir, my family didn't go, it was me and one other friend.
"It was my first time I've ever actually been to their stadium. The other game I saw of theirs was in Dallas when they played Oklahoma. It was nice, they have a great atmosphere. It was a fun time."
As reported at the beginning of September, Texas hasn't given up the hope of turning him into a Longhorn commitment.
"I guess their recruiting me about the same. They still call every week. At the game they didn't have much to say I guess. They basically told me they wanted me to keep them in mind."
Texas has a couple of strong selling points to offer the nation's No. 4 rated dual-threat quarterback.
"It's definitely flattering. Anytime you get a school to recruit you, it's flattering. This means a lot because they're instate and they're one of the top rated teams. And their starting quarterback is graduating."

"I told them back when I was on my official visit there I was going to go see some other games and they told me to go ahead and do it. They told me to enjoy my senior year."
According to Snead, that official visit to Gainesville will be the only one he takes.
On that visit and throughout this season, Snead has watched as Florida's new Spread Option offense has struggled. That in itself has become a selling point for the coaching staff.
"They can't wait to get me there. It's a plus that I have experience running that offense. The more comfortable you are in that offense, the better you're able to run it."
Although Texas is at the top of the college football world and continues to make a strong push, Snead remains committed to the Gators.
"I'm still committed to Florida. That's it for right now."
