To conclude the 2017 regular season, Florida will host Florida State on Nov. 25 in The Swamp as the Gators will look to break their losing streak against the Seminoles.

In this heated rivalry, Florida still leads all-time 34-25-2. However, the 'Noles have won the past four years (and six of the past seven). Leading up to that seven-year span, Florida owned a six-game winning streak over FSU.

Last season, Florida State went 10-3 (5-3 ACC), finishing third in the Atlantic Division behind Clemson and Louisville and failing to reach the ACC title game after suffering losses to both of those teams.

Inside the Gators interviewed Warchant.com beat writer Ryan S. Clark to get his take on FSU coming out of spring practices, which concluded April 8. (You can follow Clark on Twitter @ryan_s_clark.)

After the spring, which positions do you think FSU feels best about on the roster heading into the 2017 season and why? On the flip side, what positions do you see as the Seminoles' biggest concerns?

Clark: Florida State has to feel strong about what it has at running back. It could seem weird to say that given the Seminoles lost star tailback Dalvin Cook to the NFL Draft. FSU will return to a split-back system which Jimbo Fisher used prior to Cook's arrival. Jacques Patrick, who has received playing time over the last few years, will likely be one of those two running backs. The second running back could be freshman Cam Akers, who was a five-star prospect, or former four-star Amir Rasul, who is a sophomore. It's easy to say that between FSU likes what it has at running back and quarterback. On defense, it's the defensive line and the secondary given the experience. The linebackers have a year more experience but there's still some wait-and-see as it relates to depth.

As for concerns, it's easily the offensive line, receivers and special teams. Protecting Deondre Francois is the biggest task facing FSU in the preseason. Based off what we saw in spring, it appears FSU could have four of its five positions figured out. Center becomes the question mark. Alec Eberle is the experienced option but he struggled at times. Baveon Johnson and Andrew Boselli, while younger, could be an upgrade in regards to athleticism. FSU lost all three of its receivers to either graduation or the NFL Draft. There's talent but a lack of experience, so, there's some concerns. As for special teams, Ricky Aguayo had some costly misses last year. There also has to be progress from the kickoff and punt return teams too.
