The latest on Taurus Johnson

InsidetheGators.net has learned from a very good source that Cape Coral (Fla.) athlete Taurus Johnson is not yet a Florida commitment, despite what was reported Monday night.

Johnson told Rivals.com Southeast recruiting analyst Jeremy Patterson that he had committed to the Gators. However, in following up, InsidetheGators.net has learned that this is not official yet. While Florida is indeed still very much interested and recruiting Johnson, he does not have a committable offer at this point and he has not committed to the coaching staff at the University of Florida.

Johnson has some work to do academically, but he is very much still on the Gators board from what we were told.
