The second day of The Opening Finals brought very little in terms of shocking or revelatory information. These are the best athletes in the nation and their abilities are, for the most part, unquestioned.
For the second consecutive day, the open session was about teaching players some of the technical aspects of their position; how to run specific types of routes based on coverages, shading of the defensive back and play concepts. But with nothing but air as a defender, they all tend to look similar.
There were, however, some notable exceptions.
Wide receiver is probably the deepest it has been in close to a decade. There are so many great wide receivers that it is nearly impossible for any top 25 caliber team to not wind up with an impact player at wide receiver; in the case of some, there will be multiple wide receivers who are impact players.
