Thompson rates visit a perfect 10

This past weekend Florida played host to just two official visitors, one of which was a local prospect, Gainesville (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Chris Thompson.
Being so close Thompson has spent a great deal of time on Florida's campus already, however, he said he enjoyed this most recent visit the most.

"I give the visit a 10 out of 10," Thompson said. "It was real fun getting to be around the players a lot and the coaches also. I hung out with [Quinton} Dunbar because he was the host for my visit. It was the first time for me really getting to meet him. He is a fun guy."
One of the coaches the 6-foot, 170-pound wide out spent the most time with was wide receivers coach Joker Phillips. Thompson said getting to hang around with Philips a good deal really strengthened their bond.
"He was just telling me to keep working hard and wanted me to come into as many meetings the team has during the spring and come and talk to him as much as I can. Me and him are starting to build a real good relationship and were talking a lot."
Getting to those meetings is a high priority for Thompson.
"I want to try to go to all of them if not most of them that I can," he said. "I want to get in there and learn the scheme so that I can know more when I get to UF."
No official visit is concluded without getting a chance to talk with Florida head coach Will Muschamp.
"I went over to his house for breakfast, so I ate good," Thompson laughed. "I went over on Sunday and hung out with him and his family. His wife is real nice, so I think that went good."
Since there were only pair of official visitors this past weekend, Thompson got to spend a great deal of time with his fellow visitor Scooba (Miss.) East Miss. C.C. defensive tackle Jarran Reed.
After spending the weekend with Reed, Thompson said he feels good about Florida's chances.
"We talked a lot all weekend and he said he loved it down here [in Gainesville]. I think he is going to be a Gator, just from what he was telling me and he just was talking real high about the trip and was having a good time."
