After hosting many top prospects last weekend for their first Jr. Day of the recruiting cycle, this weekend the coaching staff has a much lighter load with only three prospects expected on campus for unofficial visits.
One of the top defensive backs in the nation, Mansfield (Tx.) Timberview Rivals100 safety Edward Paris, will be in town on Saturday. This is the second SEC school in as many weeks that the four-star rated player has visited, checking out LSU last weekend.
Though it is early in the process, at this time it appears that his top two out-of-state options are either UF or LSU. Florida defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson offered Paris this past fall and the two have build a pretty good relationship thus far.
The other two visitors expected to be in the Swamp this weekend are a pair of teammates from the Peach State. Carrollton (Ga.) four-star defensive tackle Dontavius Russell and tight end Cole Cook. The Gators were the second school to offer Russell and Florida head coach Will Muschamp has personally had a hand in the recruitment of the 6-foot-3, 298-pound big man. Cook does not hold an offer from any college at this time, but is hearing from many big programs from around the nation.
Check back in over the weekend for updates on the three visitors.
