Last weekend Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast tight end George Takacs was one of the many prospects to compete in the Miami Nike Regional Camp. By the end of the afternoon Takacs was one of the 12 names selected for the Nike Opening this summer.

Getting an invite to such an exclusive camp is something the three-star worked hard to achieve.

“Over the last several years since I have really gotten into football and really gotten into recruiting this had been something I wanted to get invited to,” explained Takacs. “It felt great to go out and compete against some of the best in the state and get that invite. I am looking forward to competing again this summer.”

Florida offered Takacs last summer after he competed in the Gators' first ever Sensational Sophomore Night Camp. Since landing that tender the Florida staff has gotten much closer with the in-state tight end.
