Top-100 sophomore has a connection to Florida's staff, talks interest in UF
On Wednesday, Dan Mullen's program made the cut for a pair of coveted incoming junior prospects.
Dasan McCullough and Julian Armella, both of whom are future members of the 2022 Rivals100, released a list of their top 10 schools earlier this week. Florida was able to make the cut for each of these highly rated recruits.
A key reason as to why McCullough included the Gators on his list is the connection him and his family have with assistant director of player personnel David Cooper. Cooper was a linebacker at Indiana University, where McCullough's dad, former IU running backs coach Deland McCullough, coached at from 2011-2016.
"Florida was on there because I know coach Coop. I'm close with him," McCullough told GatorsTerritory. "I've known him for as long as I can remember. Back when he played at Indiana, my dad was the coach there, so he was my barber and everything when I lived there.
