UF targets in all-star events this week

While it's still the dead period in the world of recruiting, business is about to pickup greatly over the next week as the post season all star games get underway.
Over 30 different prospects who have either committed to, are seriously considering or at least casually mentioning the Gators will be participating in one of the games.

U.S. Army All-American Bowl
The granddaddy of them all isn't only featuring some of the top prospects in the nation, it has plenty of Gator targets participating to boot.
InsidetheGators.net's Adam Gorney is out in San Antonio covering the event and will be providing additional coverage in the Alligator Alley.
While Florida has two public commitments (offensive lineman Nick Alajajian and defensive end Nick Kasa) playing in the event - there are many taking part who are top targets on the Gators board.
That list includes Rivals100 members such as linebacker Jarvis Jones, offensive lineman Xavier Nixon, defensive end Ryne Giddins and linebacker Jon Bostic on the East squad.
The Gators have to feel pretty good about their chances with each of the four.
Other Gator targets suiting up for the East are five-star defensive tackle William Campbell, cornerback Michael Carter, tight end Orson Charles and wide receiver Je'Ron Stokes.
UF's chances of landing an uncommitted player from the West squad aren't quite as promising.
Still, the Gator Nation will be paying close attention to wide receiver Randall Carroll, lineman D.J. Fluker and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick.
During the telecast, prospects such as Nixon, Bostic and Giddins will make their college decisions known.
Under Armour High School All-American Game
Though this is only its second go around, the Under Armor game is pretty well stocked.
UF has three commitments taking part in this game - they are - receiver Nu'Keese Richardson, defensive tackle Gary Brown and athlete Greg Reid.
Other key targets in Orlando this week include, five-star, Rivals100 members linebacker Jelani Jenkins and receiver Andre Debose as well as linebacker/safety Frankie Telfort.
Florida is also involved to one degree or another with running backs Trent Richardson, Jaamal Berry and Montrell Conner - along with receiver Marlon Brown, cornerback Branden Smith, athlete Ray Ray Armstrong and receiver Duron Carter.
Offense-Defense All-American Game
In this all star game's third year, they aren't nearly as established or well stocked as the other two.
However, there are still a handful of players Florida fans will want to keep an eye on.
Included in that group are two commitments, offensive lineman Jonotthan Harrison and tight end Desmond Parks.
The two will not only spend the week together in South Carolina, both are scheduled to report as early entries the first week in January.
Three other prospects participating in the game are still considering the Gators, two of them will likely visit the Gators over the final month of this recruiting cycle.
Quarterback Denard Robinson visited UF in December and has the Gators as a finalist.
While defensive tackle Luther Robinson and tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen are committed elsewhere, they have both indicated that UF will receive an official visit in January.
