The action was hot and heavy during Under Armour prospect check-in on Monday. On top of all the video interviews already posted, here's a Quoteboard with four other of Florida's top targets.
Four-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson
On what schools he's thinking about:
"I can't really say (any schools) stick out. You know, all the schools are coming really hard right now, especially you know right before the dead period. After the dead period, I expect they come harder."
On being recruited by Florida:
"Coach (Randy) Shannon has really done a good job recruiting me. He also offered by teammate, that's pretty intriguing - being able to go to school with one of my teammates since we barely knew how to throw the ball."
Dates for January official visits:
"Bama January 22nd. Florida January 15th."
On the importance of playing time in his decision:
"Very important. I don't want go anywhere where I'm going to sit on the bench. I'm trying to be a freshman All-American."
Who his top schools are:
"Michigan, Texas, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Alabama. A couple of other schools in contention, my head's all over the place."
On what Florida is telling him:
"My position right now is a rarity - a true Mike linebacker. That's why it's taken me so long (to pick a school). The opportunity to play is at so many schools. My decision is going to come down to comfortability."
When he's going to decide:
"Signing Day."
Rivals250 wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland
On what visits he has scheduled:
"I know I have TCU (January 15) and Florida (January 29) set up. That's about it. I took OU and Arizona State (visits)."
On what Florida tells him:
"Just being a deep threat that can open up their offense, stretch the field."
On his relationship with Florida wide out coach Kerry Dixon:
"We talk all the time, when we can. Talked to him a couple of days ago actually. I can relate to him. We talk more about football and life and stuff like that. But when it's time to get serious, it's time to get serious. When it's time to play, it's time to play."
Does being from Jacksonville influences how he looks at Florida:
"Yes sir. That helps a lot. I still have family that lives out there in Florida. That's why they're still in the running for it just because it's my hometown and going back there being able to play."
On what he wants to see on his Florida official that he didn't see when at camp:
"Spend more time with the coaches. Really that's the most important thing. Seeing everything again."
On his current commitment status with Houston:
"I know Arkansas, Florida, TCU are in the mix. I would say my commitment is soft because the receivers coach left, so I'm really trying to see who they hire."
Rivals100 wide receiver Elijah Stove
Visits Scheduled:
Auburn - January 15th
Florida - January 22nd
Miami - January 29th
Still trying to schedule South Carolina
On what Florida needs to do to stay in the picture:
"Just keep in contact. I heard they already gave 25 scholarships, 25 people already committed there."
On what he looks for on his visits:
"I'm comparing it really to all the schools. I'm just trying to see how the coaches transition at like a different schools - South Carolina and coach Richt at Miami."
On if Florida's consistency with their coaching staff helps them:
"Yeah, it's really helping out."
If he sees opportunity at Florida:
"Yeah. I might not play the first year, but not every freshman plays the first year. You have to be outstanding."
On if he knows Feleipe Franks from being in the panhandle:
"I don't really know him that well. I talked to him at The Opening. He's a really good quarterback. I didn't expect him to decommit from LSU."
When he wants to have a final decision:
"Signing Day, really."
On his commitment status with Auburn:
"Yeah (it's solid). But really, my dad said he just wanted me to picture myself being there and playing there, so that's what I do every time I go."
Rivals250 defensive back Jayvaughn Myers
Why he backed off his Florida commitment:
"I felt like me and [Kirk] Callahan just stopped being close. We didn't talk that much anymore, so I thought I should decommit now than wait. They have a lot of defensive backs committed too and other schools are telling me that. Me and Callahan talk like every day now."
Visits planned after dead period:
"South Carolina, Maryland, Auburn, and Ole Miss. Florida State might get a visit, I don't know when, maybe North Carolina. Southern California is possible too. I got a long list of visits I am trying to take. Some schools will let me do midweeks."
(Auburn visit is set for Jan. 15th and Ole Miss for Jan 29th. Nothing else is set in stone.)
Will you visit Florida?:
"Nah, probably not. I've been there a thousand times. If I did visit it would be an unofficial visit. I've just been there a lot already."
Any schools lead currently?:
"Everything is still new to me right now. I am pretty open with every school. I would say Maryland and South Carolina are recruiting me the hardest."
Chances of being a package deal with half brother Nate Craig-Myers:
"It's not really a package deal, it's just we got a lot of the same offers. Schools that like us we always talk to them. Most likely if I talk to a school they are going to talk to him."
How did the in-home with UF go before the dead period?:
"It was good. It was basically going back to the basics with Callahan again and talking to him about life and stuff like that."
