Now that we know who is leaving early for the NFL and which 2017 signees were on campus early to participate in spring ball - and who is set to arrive this summer - we're in a position to update our Unofficial Scholarship Breakdown.
Here is a look at the updated version:
The Movement Since the last Update:
-- Eight scholarship seniors were removed from the chart (Bryan Cox Jr., Jarrad Davis, Ahmad Fulwood, Mark Herndon, Joey Ivie, Marcus Maye, Daniel McMillian and Chris Thompson), as well as former walk-on Steven Stipe
-- Running back Jordan Cronkrite, center Cameron Dillard, wide receiver C.J. Worton, offensive guard Brandon Sandifer and defensive end Justus Reed transferred
-- The five players who declared for early entry to the NFL were removed from the chart (Anzalone Caleb Brantley, David Sharpe, Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson)
-- Added five early enrollees (Kyree Campbell, Kemore Gamble, James Houston, Kadeem Telfort and Kadarius Toney) and an expected 19 summer arrivals (18 from the 2017 class and Clemson transfer Jake Fruhmorgen)
-- Special teams player R.J. Raymond was awarded a scholarship
-- Slot receiver Dre Massey is listed as a redshirt junior, after suffering a torn ACL in the season-opener against UMass
What This Means as far as this fall:
-- Florida has 84 scholarship players entering the fall, currently one under the NCAA maximum 85-man scholarship limit, so it would have room to add Notre Dame quarterback transfer Malik Zaire
--Are the three walk-ons who were awarded scholarships, partly because there was room available at that time, going to keep them? They aren't required to be renewed. Therefore, any movement there could potentially make available 1-to-3 more slots
