Though he may not have made a demonstrative, outwardly act, there at least had to be a silent sigh of relief this past weekend from Plymouth (Pa.) Wyoming Valley offensive tackle Chris Bleich.

Last week the 6-foot-5, 308-pounder committed to Florida sight unseen.

There had to be at least a little bit of apprehension that after arriving at Florida he wouldn't like what he saw.

That could have happened, but it didn't.

“When I got there and I started touring the campus - I knew I made the right decision,” said Bleich. “I fell in love.”

It wasn't just the campus that convinced him he made the right call.

“I love the coaching staff here,” said Bleich. “Everything went well.”

When asked what stood out the most, he replied, “Definitely the highlight of the visit was being in the stadium. Walking into the Swamp and just envisioning myself playing there.”

When he finally gets to play in the Swamp, as to where Bleich lines up, it may depend on who comes back next season. Martez Ivey is reportedly considering whether or not he will declare for early entry to the NFL Draft.

Until Florida offensive line coach John Hevesy knows what he is working with, Bleich said that he he has been told to prepare for playing one of two spots.

“For coach Hev, I’m slotted to play center or tackle for him,” stated Bleich. “I haven’t heard about who’s staying or not.”

Over the weekend he was hosted by quarterback Jake Allen and offensive lineman Tanner Rowell

The visit was enough to do it for him. According to Bleich, he is completely locked into being a Florida Gator.

“I’m signing December 20th and then starting my career as a Gator January 6th."
