The Florida Gators look to kick off the new year, and a new beginning, with a bang as they host their first big official visitor weekend of the Jim McElwain era. With less than three weeks left in this recruiting cycle, and still many needs to be filled, the Gators are looking to make a strong impression on those visiting this weekend.
Before we take a look at the Gators weekend visitors, here is a look at targets visiting other schools.
THREE SCHOOLS HOSTING MULTIPLE FLORIDA TARGETS
This weekend the Auburn Tigers will have an impressive slate of visitors on campus. A few Florida targets expected in are defensive end Byron Cowart, defensive end CeCe Jefferson, wide receiver Ryan Davis and athlete Javarius Davis. On top of all those names the Tigers are also expecting an unofficial visit from offensive tackle Martez Ivey this weekend as well.
The Miami Hurricanes will also host quite a few Florida targets this weekend. A few names expected in Coral Gables are offensive tackle and Miami commit Tyree St. Louis, running back and Miami commit Jordan Scarlett, offensive tackle Fred Johnson, defensive back and Texas commit DaVante Davis and wide receiver Antonio Callaway.
Not to be outdone, Louisville will host several Florida targets including running back Jordan Cronkrite, quarterback Lamar Jackson, defensive end and Cardinals commit G.G. Robinson, offensive guard Trey Derouen and defensive end Quandeski Whitlow.
LIST OF TARGETS VISITING ELSEWHERE
Derrick Dillon - LSU (is expected to take an unofficial visit to Florida on 1/30)
Quarvez Boulware - Alabama
Deondre Francois - Florida State
Chris Williamson - North Carolina
Shareef Miller - Arizona state
Van Jefferson - Oklahoma
Jared Pinkney - Vanderbilt

The
Skinny: Dinson wasted little time setting up a visit to Florida after picking up an offer last week from the Gators. Dinson is very close with new linebackers coach Randy Shannon. Though he is committed to the Kentucky Wildcats, Dinson says he has a top three of Kentucky, Florida and Auburn.

href="http://sports.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Rashad-Fenton-156680"

The
Skinny: Fenton is another defensive back that recently picked up an offer from the Gators. This is another south Florida prospect who has ties with Randy Shannon as well, but Fenton is mostly visiting due to new defensive back's coach Kirk Callahan, who recruited him while at Central Florida.

The
Skinny: Though Horton remains committed to the Gators he is also looking to take a few visits to other schools before signing day. The Gators are confident they will keep him in the fold and look to lock things up with him on campus this weekend.

The
Skinny: Jordan has been the Gators biggest recruiter since pulling the trigger. Jordan is solid in his commitment and will not visit any other schools before signing day. Look for Jordan to do some recruiting this weekend on Florida's behalf.

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://sports.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Jaason-Lewis-129166"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Lewis was recruited by the previous staff at Florida, but has been made much more of a priority by the new staff. The Gators aren't really a heavy player for the four-star at this time, but things can drastically change after his first ever visit to Gainesville. The Gators like Lewis to fit in playing an H-back role.

CHRISTIAN PELLAGE

Primary Recruiter: Mike Summers
Offensive Tackle Ranking: No. 53
Florida Ranking: No. 76

src="https://ct.yimg.com/mr/images/database/stars3.gif" width=104
height=20>
Level of Interest: MEDIUM
Others: South Carolina commit (8/8)

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://sports.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Christian-Pellage-147311"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Though Pellage is committed to South Carolina he has been talking with the new Florida staff since they came in. Florida head coach Jim McElwain and offensive line Mike Summers have pushed hard for Pellage in the last month and a half. He maintains that he is solid in his pledge to the Gamecocks, but there is no doubt Florida is giving him something to think about.

JABARI ZUNIGA
>6-3, 265 pounds
Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry
Primary Recruiter: Geoff Collins
Defensive Tackle Ranking: No. NR
Georgia Ranking: No. NR

Level of Interest: MEDIUM
Others: NC State commit (11/18
href="http://sports.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Jabari-Zuniga-164871"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: The Gators are the most recent school to offer this 6-foot-3, 265-pounder. According to his head coach the offer came from new UF defensive coordinator Geoff Collins. This visit will be the staff's first chance to really bond with the Peach State big man. Don't let his ranking fool you, I hear the Gators like this prospect a lot.
