This weekend Florida will once again host several top prospects on campus for their match-up against East Carolina. The Gators had an impressive turnout last weekend against New Mexico State, and look to give recruits the same atmosphere, as well as result.
The Gators will once again have a several of their commitments in attendance for the game against the Pirates.
Leading that pack, and making his second straight weekend visit to Gainesville, is Cocoa (Fla.) Rivals100 cornerback Chauncey Gardner. The four-star has been the Gators biggest prospect recruiter thus far in the 2016 cycle, so look for him to keep up the work this weekend in the Swamp.
Other commits expected to be in attendance are offensive tackle Stone Forsythe, center Brett Heggie, wide receiver Rick Wells, defensive end JaQuan Bailey and athlete Tyrek Tisdale.
Wide receiver commit Isaiah Johnson is also expected in the Swamp on Saturday as well. He took an official visit to N.C. State this past weekend.
The biggest uncommitted target expected to be in attendance is Columbia (Tenn.) Spring Hill three-star quarterback Tylin Oden. The Gators currently have a commitment at the position from Kyle Trask, but the staff is still on the lookout for another signal caller for this recruiting cycle.
Odin currently calls himself a Louisville commitment, but acknowledges that it's a very soft verbal. Florida has yet to offer as the staff continues to evaluate him. Virginia Tech and Florida are the main schools Odin says he is hearing from currently.
Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola three-star cornerback Carlos Becker is also expected in the Swamp on Saturday. The Gators and Seminoles have both been after Becker to stay in state, but Iowa, N.C. State, and Michigan State are some out of state programs that also have his attention as well.
Two other top targets who may be in attendance is the Citra (Fla.) North Marion duo of Freddie Swain and Jordan Woods. Both prospects are still unsure about the visit as of Friday morning. However, because they live so near by, they could decide at the last minute to make the short ride up for the visit. If they do make it in, it would be their second straight weekend in the Swamp.
The 2017 crop expected in Gainesville Saturday is perhaps even more impressive than the 2016 names.
Making his second straight appearance at UF this weekend will be Cocoa (Fla.) athlete Bruce Judson, an Ohio State commit. Though he maintains his commitment to the Buckeyes is strong, the Gators are in great shape to possibly pull off a flip. Another Buckeyes commit expected in is Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian cornerback Shaun Wade.
The Gators will also host Newberry (Fla.) 2017 defensive tackle duo of Cory Durden and Rivals100 Florida State commit Ja'len Parks. Durden made the trip to UF this past weekend as well, and states FSU has the sight edge for him at this time. Both earned offers from Florida over the summer after camping with the Gators.
Another FSU commit expected in is Rivals100 wide receiver D.J. Matthews. This four-star has been committed to Florida State since his 9th grade year, but has been open to taking visits to other schools with so much time left before National Signing Day 2017.
Another big visitor from the 2017 class making his first visit to the Swamp on gameday is Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale Rivals250 cornerback Gentry Bonds. The Gators have yet to offer the four-star defender, but have been recruiting him since the start of September, when coaches are allowed to contact prospect from the 2017 class.
