An early kickoff combined with a non-marquee type of opponent would normally mean that there wouldn't be many top tier prospects in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday. However, despite those factors, there are still several highly sought after prospects scheduled to come in for the game.
After pledging his commitment to the Gators a few weeks back Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County Rivals100 defensive end Antonneous Clayton will make his second straight trip to see Florida play, after visiting for the Florida-Georgia game last Saturday. Mount Dora (Fla.) center Brett Heggie has made it to every Gators home game this season and is yet again expected in. Another commitment expected in is Citra (Fla.) North Marion wide receiver Freddie Swain. He is another commit that has been a regular in Gainesville this season. With his high school off this weekend Miami (Fla.) Central defensive end Eric Mitchell will make his first visit of the fall to see the Gators in aciton.
From the 2017 class Tampa (Fla.) Tech wide receiver Daquon Green will be in the South endzone bleachers.
Probably the biggest target expected in this Saturday is Niceville (Fla.) wide receiver Elijah Stove, an Auburn commitment. Though he's been committed to the Tigers since the spring, the Gators have remained in contact with the four-star pass catcher and hope to pull off a flip in the future. Another Auburn wide receiver commit that is expected in for the game is Crestview (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Marquis McClain. This will be his first visit to Gainesville.
With the Gators looking to add some playmakers out wide they also expect two wide receivers in this weekend that will be making their first visit to Florida of the fall. Coming from the panhandle is Wakulla (Fla.) wide receiver Keith Gavin, a former Florida State commitment. Since backing off his verbal pledge to the Noles, the Alabama Crimson Tide has been the odds on favorite for his pledge. The other wide receiver expected to visit is Miami (Fla.) Senior three-star Keyshawn Young. The Gators offered back in the spring, but haven't been mentioned much in conjunction with him since. Michigan and Alabama have been the schools most talked about when it comes to him, so the Gators have some work to do it they want to become a player here.
Another interesting visitor expected in for the game is Elmore (Ala.) Edgewood Academy defensive end Kelvin Lucky. This unranked sleeper, who is from Nigeria originally, is learning the game of football little by little. Though he is listed as an end by Rivals.com, he also plays some tight end as well, which is the position the Gators have scouted him for. This weekend the staff will get a chance to see Lucky in person and size him up.
Two other possible visitors are four-star defensive end Brian Burns and four-star tight end Nick Eubanks. The two are still listed as "maybe" on if they will show or not, but there is a little optimism in Gainesville. Both Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage standouts have tried to visit Florida a few times this fall but haven't been able to do so thus far.
The Gators also have a solid number of underclassmen expected in for the game as well. Leading that pack is 2017 five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley. Though he is committed to Auburn the Gators have kept after the top lineman for next years recruiting class. A few other underclassmen expected in are safety Cyrus Fagan, athlete Juwan Burgess, offensive tackle Blake Vinson, and 2018 Kentucky wide receiver commit Jermaine Eskridge.

The
Skinny: Though Hammond took an official visit to Georgia last month, and has mentioned some interest in the Bulldogs, he still is very solid to the Gators. This weekend the Gators hope to solidify his commitment even more with him getting to spend time with the coaches. This will be Hammond's first visit to Gainesville this fall.
