One of the biggest targets on the board is expected in Gainesville on Friday when Potomic (M.D.) Bullis School Rivals100 quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. makes his way to town. The four-star signal caller decided to stop by Florida while he is in the Sunshine State competing in a 7-on-7 tournament this weekend. This is Haskins first visit to Florida since the new staff has been in place, therefore this visit will be geared towards showing him the scheme and meeting the new staff.
Rivals250 wide receiver Trevon Diggs will also be on campus as well (he and Haskins are on the same 7-on-7 team). Diggs is the younger brother of former five-star Stefon Diggs, who chose Maryland over Florida back in 2011.
Making his third visit in as many weekends will be Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge running back and latest commit Tyrek Tisdale. The three-star back pledged Friday morning. The Gators like Tisdale as an athlete who could play either running back or wide receiver.
One of the more interesting visitors on campus this weekend will be Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star defensive end Shavar Manuel. This is the Rivals100 members first ever visit to Gainesville. Florida State is the team to beat here. - but the Gators aren't entirely out of the picture as evidenced by his willingness to visit this weekend.
After having his previous visits fall through due to transportation issues, Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola cornerback Carlos Becker is slated to be on campus Friday with teammates. The Gators are one of many schools that have offered the three-star athlete, but Florida State and Ohio State are schools that many feel are in the best position for his commitment.
On Saturday the Gators are slated to host Mississippi Gulf Coast wide receiver Demarre Kitt. The former Clemson wide receiver elected to leave the Tigers and go the JUCO route. He currently doesn't have an offer from Florida, but that will likely change after this weekend.
Check back over the weekend for updates on the listed visitors as well as IMG 7-on-7 coverage.
