This weekend's recruiting visitor list is absolutely loaded for the Florida Gators as they kick start SEC play this Saturday as they play host to the Kentucky Wildcats. The Gators will have but one official visitor combined with a handful of other top targets on unofficial visits. Inside the Gators takes a look at some of the names to watch this weekend.
As far as those currently committed to the Gators are concerned, there will possibly be three on hand this weekend. Offensive center Tyler Jordan will make his third straight trip to the Swamp. That is no surprise. He said he plans to be at every home game this season. Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln tight end Camrin Knight is another commitment that will be on hand. Knight last visited UF for the Idaho game only to have it rained out. Neptune Beach (Fla.) Fletcher wide receiver Kalif Jackson also plans to be at the game depending on when he finishes taking his ACT test on Saturday.
Hands down one of the biggest visitors this weekend is five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson, who is making his third trip to Gainesville in as many weekends. The Florida Gators have been the odds on favorite to land the Rivals100 member, but he insists he won't make a decision until National Signing Day. Alabama, Georgia, and Florida State, where he will visit next weekend, are also in the mix.
Florida will also have a collection of players committed to other schools for this SEC opening night game as well Saturday. Headlining that list is Clemson commitment and five-star athlete Ray-Ray McCloud III. The elite athlete committed to Clemson about a month ago, but still is keeping lines of communication going with the Gators.
Miami commitments Jordan Cronkrite and Dexter Williams are also names that are expected this weekend. Crinkrite seems to be the one most open to looking at other schools, as he is a very soft commitment to the Canes at this time. Florida and West Virginia are the two schools that seem to have the best shot to flip this Rivals250 member. Williams on the other hand seems to be flirting with schools more so than actually interested in them. He is adamant his commitment to Miami is strong, but he plans to take official visits to Louisville, Notre Dame, and USC. Williams was supposed to visit Gainesville last weekend for the Gators match up against Eastern Michigan but did not make it in.
A possible visitor that could be coming with Cronkrite is Rivals100 athlete Tim Irvin. At this time Irvin seems to be a Miami lean as well, but also has spoken highly of West Virginia and South Carolina recently as he plans to officially visit both. He last visited UF in July to observe Friday Night Lights.
New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) offensive guard Jalen Merrick is bit of a Florida lean at this time and has been for the last few months. Last weekend he visited Miami, will be at Florida Saturday, and has tentative plans to officially visit Alabama next weekend when they host UF. The Gators and Hurricanes seem to be the top two here, but Merrick insists he won't make a decision until after he takes a few official visits.
Three-star cornerback Jeremy McDuffie also could be at Florida Saturday as well. However as of Friday the Peach State corner was still not solid if he will make the trip. The Gators are the team considered to be in the driver seat at this time with Ole Miss and Tennessee also in the picture as well.
A few 2016 names to keep an eye on this weekend are tight end Jacob Mathis, 2016 wide receivers DreDrick Snelson, Josh Imatorbhebhe, Marquez Callaway, Eddie McDoom and Freddie Swain, and offensive lineman Stone Forsythe and Julian Santos.
Targets Visiting Elsewhere: Five-star defensive end Byron Cowart and four-star wide receiver Ryan Davis both are officially visiting Maryland this weekend.
Rivals100 linebacker Roquan Smith will be at South Carolina to watch the Gamecocks take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Check the Alley all weekend for the latest from the official and unofficial visitors.

The
Skinny: The Gators were the odds on favorite to land this three-star tight end before his commitment to the Missouri Tigers. Though he hasn't spoken on backing off his commitment from Missouri he is open to taking other visits. If the offense looks sharp and if UF offers his 2016 little brother, who has a decent offer list, the countdown for a flip starts this weekend.
