Weekend Visitor Updates
This weekend marks the final game of the season for Florida as the Gators play host to their bitter instate rival Florida State. Though the Gators are having a tough time on the field, UF is still in the running for some of the top talent in the nation.
Here is a rundown of those who are expected in Gainesville for this monster recruiting weekend.
The Gators have a huge slate of official visitors on tap this weekend, but there is also a large number of top targets coming in for unofficial visits. Probably one of the biggest visitors expected for the game is Homestead (Fla.) Rivals100 UF wide receiver commit Ermon Lane, who is making his first visit to Gainesville since the spring. Florida quarterback commit Will Grier will also be down for the game, and is looking forward to spending time with his future wide out while in town.
Other UF commits expected in this weekend for unofficial visits are Rivals250 defensive tackle Khairi Clark and four-star cornerback commit Quincy Wilson, who are both attending their second Gator game this season.
Another interesting name expected in town this weekend is Marrero (La.) John Ehret four-star running back Darrel Williams. The Arizona State commit was just offered by the Gators a week ago. He also plans to make a return trip in January for an official visit.
Norcross (Ga.) five-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter took his official visit to Florida back in September, but will make a return trip this weekend for an unofficial visit with his family. The Georgia Bulldogs are a team who has been making a move for the Rivals100 member as of late, but with UF getting him back on campus the Gators may be able to regain momentum. Expect Will Muschamp to pull out all stops this weekend to impress the Carter family to make up the ground UF has lost over the last couple of months.
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Newman Rivals100 wide receiver Travis Rudolph will also be on campus Saturday for an unofficial visit. Many believe Rudolph has Florida State in the leaad right now after he had the Gators on top just a few months back.
The coaching and support staffs will also have many top underclassman targets on campus weekend for the big rivalry game.
Included on that list is 2015 five-star defensive tackle Trenton Thompson, running back Jordan Scarlett, offensive tackle Martez Ivey, defensive end CeCe Jefferson and offensive tackle Tristen Hoge.

The
Skinny: Dawson was the first commitment in the 2014 class and has been one of the biggest prospect recruiters for the Orange and Blue. Dawson took an unofficial visit to Alabama a few weeks ago but maintains that he is 110% committed to UF.

The
Skinny: Dorsey was one of the first to publicly commit to Florida in this recruiting cycle and has been solid to this point. He has however said since day one that he planned on taking other visits, now saying that he will go to Miami and North Carolina. Though he says that, he doesn't seem to be seriously looking at either of them.

href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Thomas-Holley-147464"

The
Skinny: If the Gators truly are looking to add another defensive tackle in their 2014 class then Holley is their man. Many believe Penn State to be the team to beat for Holley with UF in second place. Expect UF to roll out the red carpet this weekend in order to make a move for this four-star big man.

The
Skinny: The Gators have done a great job of recruiting Lauderdale, and are currently considered to be the team to beat for him. Lauderdale is originally from Georgia and is looking to return to the Southeast for school. This could be one to watch out for this weekend.

C'YONTAI LEWIS

target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Lewis has been very solid in his commitment to UF since he gave them his pledge back in the spring. The Gators have a big need at tight end and Lewis knows that, plus he feels he could make an impact next season for the Orange and Blue. Really the only question here, what does he look like academically?

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Nyles-Morgan-140069"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: The Gators would like to add a top tier linebacker in this recruiting cycle, and with Raekwon McMillan cancelling his UF visit to go to Auburn instead, the bord is shrinking. While the Gators have turned up the heat for Morgan as of late, at this time it seems Ole Miss has the edge.
src="http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/PROSPECT/PHOTO/DAVID-SHARPE_5_6_100.JPG"
width=80 height=100>
DAVID SHARPE
>6-8, 275 pounds
Jacksonville (Fla.) Providence
Primary Recruiter: Tim Davis
Offensive Tackle Ranking: No. 30
Florida Ranking: No. 53

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-David-Sharpe-147620"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: He may not be the most highly rated (though it wouldn't be surprising to see him receive a bump in the next round of rankings), Sharpe is probably the most anticipated visitor of the weekend for Gator Nation. Sharpe plans to make his commitment next week at this school and it looks like he will be picking the Gators.

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Ryan-Sousa-140840"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Sousa was looking for a Florida offer over the summer when he camped in Gainesville, but had to wait until late in the process to get it. Sousa claims he is solid with FSU, but don't be surprised if he does make a flip to UF down the road. This is going to be a Florida-FSU battle all the way until National Signing Day between the instate rivals.
