WEEKEND VISITOR UPDATES:
One official visitor reschedules Florida visit
Florida State four-star commit in the Swamp
One Clemson commit definitely won't be in
Five-star likely to visit
In the past month Florida has played a single game in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. With the Gators returning home this weekend to take on South Carolina in the last big home game of the year, UF is expecting a solid list of visitors.
Inside the Gators takes a look at just who to keep an eye out for this weekend in The Swamp.
The Gators will once again have a strong showing of their verbal commitments on hand for the noon match up against the Gamecocks. Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny lineman Tyler Jordan will once again make the trip down to Gainesville as he has been to every home game in the Swamp this season and is one of the Gators biggest recruiters in the class.
The overall most active recruiter on Florida's behalf is four-star offensive tackle George Brown will also be in town, making an unofficial visit for the weekend. Brown hasn't been to Gainesville since July and is excited to see the offense for himself up close.
The Gators will also have three star offensive line commit Brandon Sandifer, and possibly three-star's Kalif Jackson and Michael Horton.
As for uncommitted visitors, once again Florida will have St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood Rivals250 wide receiver Ryan Davis on campus for the big game. Davis has been to both Florida and FSU this fall and is considered to be a lean to the Gators at this time. At one point Davis seemed to be on the verge of a commitment but has since backed off that pledge and is letting his recruiting process take its twists and turns.
Perhaps the most interesting storyline of the weekend is possible visits from Clemson commits Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud III this weekend. The Gators are expecting the duo, but nothing is certain until they are actually in the stadium. McCloud has stopped by UF once already this season and has kept the lines of communications open with UF despite his commitment. This visit would be Cain's first time in the Swamp this fall. He hasn't taken many visits outside of Clemson other than a trip to LSU last weekend to watch the match-up against Alabama.
Commits and Targets Visiting Elsewhere: The Gators aren't the only school that will be hosting visitors this weekend and many of their biggest commitments and targets plan to visit elsewhere this weekend.
Five star defensive end Byron Cowart was planning to officially visit UF this weekend at one time, but has backed off that idea. He was planning to visit Alabama unofficially this weekend, but is now unsure at this time with a late playoff game on Friday and also overcoming the flu.
If he goes, Cowart will not be the only five-star pass rusher in Tuscaloosa over the weekend as Glen St. Mary (Fla.) Baker County defensive end CeCe Jefferson also plans to take an unofficial visit.
Four-star linebacker Adonis Thomas is also expected at Alabama this weekend. He was at LSU this past weekend to watch the Tigers take on the Crimson Tide.
New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) offensive guard Jalen Merrick will take his first of five official visits as he heads to Wisconsin this weekend.
This weekend's match up of Florida State and Miami is set to bring in a solid crowd of Florida targets. Some of the targets UF is still in talks with that are going are four-star running back Dexter Williams, three-star cornerback Carlton Davis and four-star defensive tackle Kendrick Norton has also mentioned a Miami visit as well.
Rivals100 linebacker Roquan Smith will visit Georgia this weekend for their game against Auburn. The Bulldogs are the team believed to be in the drivers seat for the four-star.
JUCO wide receiver Dominique Reed recently picked up a Florida offer and will officially visit Arkansas this weekend. The Arkansas native has the Razorbacks out in front but says he will take an official visit to UF in January.
Three-star cornerback Jeremy McDuffie is looking to visit either Florida or Tennessee this weekend. He is looking to make a commitment soon and has UF out in front.

The
Skinny: Florida was the school to beat early on after they were one of the first to really get involved with the three-star. However, now that he's picked up a ton of offers and doesn't seem to be in any hurry to make a decision. The hometown Miami Hurricanes are probably the Gators biggest competition, but he really likes the thought of playing with Florida freshman quarterback Treon Harris.

The
Skinny: Hughes received his offer from the Gators back when he was a junior and has kept in contact with the staff on and on since then. Only recently did Florida seem to turn up the heat on the three-star defender. The Gators are looking to add a corner in this class and seem to have Hughes in their sights.

The
Skinny: Irvin is coming off official visits to West Virginia and Texas and bumped a planned visit to Georgia in order to instead check out Florida this weekend. Irvin has seemed to be high on the Gators and has a good relationship with Florida coaches Travaris Robinson and Will Muschamp. Whether or not that will be enough to pull him away from the Hurricanes is yet to be seen.
