After a month off the recruiting trail due to the dead period the Florida Gators look to start things up strong this weekend with their first official visitor weekend of the new year. This weekend the Florida Gators will host eight official visitors, including a new name along the offensive line.
Not only are the Gators playing host to several visitors this weekend, but many of their top targets will also visit elsewhere this weekend as well.
Five-star offensive tackle Damian Prince will officially visit South Carolina this weekend with his uncle. Right now it looks as if Maryland has the slight edge for this Rivals100 member with Florida and South Carolina looking to make a move.
Five-star athlete and Alabama commit Bo Scarbrough will officially visit Tuscaloosa this weekend and is still looking for a school to get his fifth and final official visit. The Gators are one of the schools fighting it out for Scarbrough's final visit.
Three-star FSU commit C.J. Worton was offered by the Gators last week and will host him on an official visit at the end of this month. This weekend he will be in Morgantown visiting West Virginia.
Three-star wide receiver Charles Nelson will be out west visiting USC for his first of five allotted official visits. The Gators have been hot and cold in their talks with Nelson and may not be a finalist for his services.
Three-star offensive tackle Andrew Mike will officially visit Arkansas this weekend before officially visiting UF on January 24th. The Gators are a team in a very good place for his services due in part to new special teams coach Coleman Hutzler.
Rivals100 defensive end Malik McDowell will officially visit FSU this weekend. He is considered a lock to stay in state and attend either Michigan State or Michigan. He visited UF officially back in December but doesn't seem too high on the Gators.
Three-star offensive tackle Derrick Kelly will officially visit LSU this weekend. It's been over a month since he officially visited Gainesville and it seems the Gators' chances are fading.
Rivals100 four-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter will also officially visit LSU this weekend. It's a Florida-Georgia battle right now for this top end but LSU and Florida State are sleepers.
Arizona State will host JUCO wide receiver Eric Lauderdale, with the Sun Devils the team to watch out for as far as giving the Gators the most competition. At this time Lauderdale has UF on top for his services and is planning to make a decision later this month.
Three-star offensive guard Jordan Sims will officially visit Mississippi State this weekend per a source. Gainesville is still up in the air as an official visit destination and looking less and less like an option.

target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: The Gators have recently extended an offer to this unranked offensive tackle but have been in talks with him for many months dating back to when previous offensive line coach Tim Davis was on staff. Cajuste is very high on UF and has grown up a fan of the Gators, but also is high on West Virginia, due in part to his former high school head coach now on the Mountaineer's coaching staff. If Cajuste feels comfortable and gets the green light from the coaching staff he could pull the trigger this weekend.

href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Khairi-Clark-109083"

The
Skinny: Clark has been one of the most solid commitments in the Gators 2014 class since he gave his verbal pledge this past summer. Clark has also been in the ear of many of the Gators top targets and that likely will continue this weekend.

The
Skinny: Harris hasn't really wavered in his commitment to FSU since he gave them his pledge this past summer. However the Gators, Tigers, and Canes have come on late, extending offers to play quarterback. Those opportunities were too hard to pass up as Harris will visit all three schools officially before making his final decision on National Signing Day.

target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: The Gators are in a dogfight down the stretch to keep Jackson committed and a part of the Class of 2014. FSU seemed to be the team to beat coming off Under Armour week, however we are hearing the Gators are very confident heading into the visit and expect him to stick. Jackson has a tentative visit to FSU planned for the end of the month. If he does make the trip to Tallahassee, it might be wise to consider him gone and start looking at a replacement.

href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Isaiah-McKenzie-141877"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: The Gators are the only in-state school to offer McKenzie and are playing that card to their favor. Though the Gators sit in a good spot heading into this weekend's visit, they still will have to wait for him to visit Ole Miss and Notre Dame before a final decision on National Signing Day.

target=_blank>Video Reel
href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Deiondre-Porter-149998"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Porter recently decommitted from South Florida after picking up offers from the Gators and Hurricanes. Porter was so excited to get the offer from the Gators that he wasted no time getting on campus for a visit. There has been a lot of smoke around Porter possibly pulling the trigger this weekend. Florida isn't sure where he fits into their scheme, but loves his athletic ability and upside he posses.

href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Derrell-Scott-133071"
target=_blank>Headlines
The
Skinny: Heading into this visit the Volunteers and Gamecocks are sitting at the top for Scott's services. However a source close to Scott has told Inside the Gators if the visit goes well UF could skyrocket up the list. Scott's mother will also accompany the four-star back during his trip to Gainesville.

The
Skinny: This will be Stephens first trip to Gainesville since he committed last month. Stephens is solid in his commitment to Florida and is excited to spend the weekend with the players and coaching staff, most notably new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper.
