Despite being ranked the No. 56 player in the country on the Rivals100, Olive Branch (Miss.) athlete Allen Walker has kept a relatively low profile this summer. Besides camp stops at Tennessee, LSU and Ole Miss, the 6-2, 200-pounder is usually working out or at home relaxing and admiring all the offers he has on the table.

"I am just taking it in," he said. "I haven't really experienced anything like this before so I don't know what to feel when I get all these offers. I guess you could say mixed emotions.
"I don't have any favorites really. I have offers from Nebraska, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida, Iowa and Louisville."
Walker said the Florida Gators sent him a written offer out of the blue toward the end of May and, to say the least, he was caught off-guard.
"I had been getting letters from them and I had talked to them before but they didn't tell me that they were going to offer," he said. "It was pretty exciting because I wasn't expecting it. It made me feel pretty good when I got it.
"Coach (Billy) Gonzales is doing a pretty good job of recruiting me. He basically has asked me what position I feel most comfortable playing in college, but it really doesn't matter to me where I play."
The wide receiver/defensive back said his mentality is the same on either side of the ball – aggressive. His aggressive instinct netted him 480 yards receiving on 25 catches as a junior. He also had two interceptions and 50 tackles on his way to first-team All-Region and second-team All-State honors.
Walker admitted that he doesn't know much about the University of Florida except that they play in The Swamp. He added that he does have a high interest in Florida, and he might have the opportunity to learn more about the Gators later this month.
"Coach (Urban) Meyer is a pretty good guy," Walker said. "He said he is looking forward to getting me down there. I hadn't had a chance to go down there yet, but I think I might go there on the 22nd."
Aside from Florida putting in a hefty recruiting effort, the No. 4 ranked athlete said Ole Miss and LSU are equally in his ear trying to lure him to their respective schools.
"I am still pretty far off from my decision," said Walker, who has a 2.3 GPA and scored a 17 on the ACT. "I would like to take all my visits. I want to visit LSU, Florida and Nebraska. Ole Miss is right down the street, so I probably won't go there for a visit, but I would like to go there for an unofficial."
