On Friday afternoon, out of nowhere, Florida extended an offer to Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit running back Malik Davis.
While there may be several factors which played into this offer in particular, it isn't at all unusual to see a program's recruiting board expand – and retract – during the fall.
Florida's staff has had a chance to not only evaluate where they stand with prospects already on their board, but they also now have seen senior season tape of prospects who they now wish to add to the board.
With that in mind here are 10 prospects Florida coaches visited this week who haven't been mentioned prominently with the Gators recently, or in a couple of cases at all, until now.

* Gators to see over 20 prospects Friday
* Rivals100 lineman officially visiting Florida in November
* Florida working on Peach State end

* Five-star wide out will visit Florida

This Rivals250 defensive end was a one time Alabama commitment, who recently opened up his recruitment. The Gators offered back in the spring, but hadn’t been in contact much until this week. Georgia has been in touch as well dating back to before he decommitted and South Carolina is a major player.
Florida showed some interest back in the spring, but the Gators hadn't been mentioned much in conjunction with Jones since then. However, Florida is really high on this four-star prospect who hails from Texas. The Gators are looking for another linebacker to close out the 2017 cycle, and have been trying to get Jones on campus for quite some time now. Florida assistant Randy Shannon coached Jones’ father in the past, so there is a relationship there.
