------
What are your expectations heading into your freshman year at Florida?
Toney: “I just want to come in here and help the team. Hopefully we can make it to a bowl game and I want to try to earn a starting postion.”
Do you know what number you are going to wear?
Toney: “No not yet.”
Do you know who you are going to be rooming with?
Toney: “I am rooming with Kyree Campbell. There are four rooms in the dorms but I only know of Kyree rooming with me - I don’t know if more are coming later.”
You continue to mention playing quarterback at Florida. Are you excited to compete at that position in the spring?
Toney: “I am looking forward to stepping into that spot if they need me. I think I can help them because I have the ability to move outside the pocket. Sometimes when you take things out of the pocket it can help extend the play. They haven’t mentioned any other position - just quarterback.”
You had offers from Alabama and Auburn, what was it about Florida that made you want to leave your home state?
Toney: “It was really the home environment I got at Florida.”
Was there ever a time where you felt like you weren’t going to end up at Florida?
Toney: “It was always Florida. The media sometime tries to switch your words up like I was saying this or saying that, but with me it was always Florida. I have a close relationship with all the coaches at UF.”
Do you know what you want to major in?
Toney: "Criminal justice."
