Final three for four-star Herbert
ORLANDO, FLA. - Because he wasn't participating due to an injury, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage offensive tackle Kai-Leon Herbert didn't arrive to Under Armour week until Saturday.
The Rivals250 member committed to Michigan back in July, but has continued to keep his options open.
Later this month, Herbert plans to take three visits with Auburn, Miami, and Florida all on the agenda, in that order after the dead period. Though he has visits on tap, Herbert maintains his commitment to the Wolverines is strong.
“Coach [Tim] Drevno says he doesn’t want to lose contact or decommit or anything like that. They have been talking to my parents. I am committed to Michigan, but I am still looking at other schools to see how they can benefit me. I am going to Michigan right now, that is where I am committed, but that can change. Coach [Jim] Harbaugh says he trusts me to take other visits.”
Though his commitment is strong, the four-star big man admits the Gators and Hurricanes are the biggest threat to change his mind. Miami will get him on campus the weekend of January 20th, and have been selling him on the chance to play only 45 minutes away from his home.
