Florida does not often go in to Texas and land recruits, but that has not stopped the Gators coaching staff from trying.
According to the Rivals database, between the 2015, 2016 and 2017 classes, Florida landed 4 out of the fifty-five total offers they sent out in the Lone Star State.
They already have fifteen offers out for the 2018 class, and six in the 2019 class.
Jordan Whittington, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver out of Cuero, Texas, is among those six offered in the 2019 class.
He is potentially an outlier in Florida’s recruitment of the state as well.
