With this Wednesday marking the 10 month countdown to Signing Day 2018, Inside the Gators takes a closer look at the top 10 prospects remaining on the board for this edition of the Terrific 10.
These are the Ten Most Wanted uncommitted prospects still considering the Gators based on need, ranking and Florida's chance of eventually landing them.
NO. 5
Reason for the Ranking: Standing at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, Thompson is a match-up nightmare out wide. He is a chain moving receiver, who continuously finds a way to get open, while also bringing a red zone threat. He is a plus athlete for his size, which the Gators haven’t had on their roster in a few years. Thompson is a potential immediate impact player wherever he decides to attend school.
Competition: Florida State, Alabama, North Carolina, Oregon
The Skinny: This one is shaping up to be a Florida vs. Florida State recruiting battle. Thompson, along with his family, grew up cheering on Florida State, but he has taken a liking to the Gators. So much so, Florida may currently be the favorites to land his signature. Alabama and Oregon will be threats as well.
