While settling into a new program themselves, at the same time Florida's coaches are attempting to take advantage of the coaching vacancy at instate rival Florida State.

Earlier this week Florida assistant coach John Hevesy visited with Montezuma (Ga.) Macon County offensive guard Christian Meadows.

“It went good,” said Meadows of the visit. “I’ve known Coach Hevesy since he was at Mississippi State. We just talked football. We talked school work and he asked me about my reaction to Fisher. We basically talked about trying to get me down. He wanted me to come down on an unofficial within the next two weeks. So maybe we can get down there and just talk football. He wants me to tour the campus and just get a feel for it down there.”
