Florida's uniforms in football and basketball are getting an iconic addition for the 2018-19 season: the Jumpman.

UF announced Wednesday that football, men's basketball and women's basketball will all be joining the Jordan Brand roster. The Nike imprint features the classic Jumpman logo of the brand's namesake, basketball legend Michael Jordan.

Florida becomes the first SEC program, fourth college football team and fifth school overall to wear the Jordan Brand. Currently, in college football, only Michigan and North Carolina, Jordan's alma mater, wear the Jordan Brand. Oklahoma, a roster addition announced in November, will also make the switch for 2018. The Gators previously sported Jordan Brand gear, but not uniforms, during Outback Bowl prep.

“The Florida Gators and Jordan Brand are two of the more iconic brands in athletics and we are looking forward to our partnership that will be enjoyed by the student-athletes of our football and basketball programs and our fans," athletic director Scott Stricklin said in a statement.

Florida football coach Dan Mullen has been photographed sporting Jordan shoes on recruiting trips. Mullen appears to have already picked out some new kicks.

“I was excited to hear that the Florida football program was partnering with the Jordan brand," Mullen said in a statement. "I know our players and staff will be pumped up for the new swag and I can’t wait to wear my new AJ1 FlyKnits."

Third-year basketball coach Mike White also expressed excitement about the new partnership.

“Florida basketball strives to be on the cutting edge of innovation and excitement for our players and fans, so partnering with the Jordan Brand is a truly unique way to further enhance the elite status of what it means to be a Gator," White said.

Gators fans can expect to see Jordan Brand merchandise hit the shelves in summer 2018.
