Former Florida defensive end Johnie Church (1992-1995) shares 10 observations from the Gators' 20-7 win over South Carolina.
1) I'm starting off positive, thank you Austin Appleby for providing a spark to the offense. For the record I thought you should have never been removed after the Tennessee and Vanderbilt games. I thought you should have just been given some calls to see if you can continue to make some plays.
2) It might have only been South Carolina, but the patchwork offensive line showed grit in both the running and passing game.
3) Running back Jordan Scarlett is the starter! He has an upright running style, but the kid runs hard and moves piles when there's nothing there. Let's inject him into the short passing game this week and see what happens.

4) Can we please get a break on the season ending injuries already! Our depth has been tested like no other this year. Considering the circumstances, we probably should have imploded by now; but we haven't.
5) This game looked very similar to the first half of the Tennessee Volunteers' game. We came out with some awesome play-calling that Appleby was handling well, then we kind of packed it in in the second half.
