Friday Night Lights Countdown: #4 Wilson

The summer college football camp season comes to an end this week with Florida staging their annual Friday Night Lights Camp.

FNL, which can draw anywhere from 15 or more four and five star prospects, has long been considered one of the premiere college camps of the summer.

Even at an event such as this, for whatever reason, there's still a handful of prospects we are looking forward to seeing more than the others.

This week Inside the Gators will countdown the five prospects we most anticipate seeing on Friday night under the lights.

#4 Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage Rivals250 cornerback Marco Wilson

Competition: Miami

Analyst Reaction: “Wilson is a very smooth corner with excellent feet and good ball skills. While he has to add strength and fill out, he is long and can play longer which is very important. He has very good instincts, loves to play man-to- man and can be aggressive despite his lack of size and power at this stage. There is little wasted movement, he doesn’t try to guess much and he remains patient and he closes strong.” – Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell

Blake’s Take: “For the longest time now it’s seemed that Wilson’s decision will come down to Miami and Florida. Miami is where Wilson’s father played college ball and the Hurricanes also have Wilson’s former high school head coach as their current defensive backs coach. The Gators family ties comes from Marco’s older brother Quincy Wilson, Florida starting cornerback. Wilson plans to name his top five this week on a local radio show and could also make a decision sometime before the start of his senior season. Though Miami has really made this decision a close one, it sounds like if a commitment does come early, then it likely will be the Gators winning it out for the four-star defender.
