It has been a whirlwind six days in the life of Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County offensive lineman Griffin McDowell.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder was visited by and offered by Florida coaches last Thursday, began his weekend official visit with the Gators on Friday and publicly committed to UF on Tuesday evening.
