This weekend was the first of three big recruiting weekends for Florida as they head down the home stretch by hosting some of the top targets remaining on their board. Along with those uncommitted targets were two Gators commits, one being Kathleen (Fla.) Rivals three-star outside linebacker Ventrell Miller, who says that he enjoyed his visit.
“I had a pretty good time. I really enjoyed myself, felt like I was at home, so I can’t complain,” said the three-star linebacker.

“I got to go out with some of the guys on the football team, walk around, toured places, toured the campus and went to Coach Mac’s house and all that kind of stuff.”
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound prospect has been one of Florida’s only linebacker commits of the class, and says that Florida has been in contact with the Kathleen product.
Miller's player host for the weekend was up-and-coming Gators linebacker Vosean Joseph.
“It’s kind of neat too because players like Vosean Joseph were also telling us that we have a chance to come in and start and all that kind of stuff,” said Miller.
“Eventually, he said that he liked playing under Coach [Randy] Shannon because he will be real with you. The coaches said I’m glad I’m a Gator and glad I’m committed. Making me stay on the right track until I graduate,” explained Miller.
Though there were a plethora of position players that Florida needs, Miller says that he was hanging around and trying to help sway Lakeland (Fla.) Rivals four-star wide receiver James Robinson and Indian River (Va.) five-star safety Devon Hunter to come play in the Orange and Blue.
“I mean, I would say James Robinson enjoyed himself. I’m in his ear,” says the Gator commit.
Miller says that he is not taking any more visits, solidifying his verbal commitment to Florida.
On a scale from one to 10, Miller said that his visit was a 10, and that the coaching staff really set the visit up nicely for the recruits.
“Everybody really had a good time.”
