Recruiting Notebook: Rivals 3 Stripe Camp

The annual Rivals 3 Stripe Camp was held Sunday morning in Miami, Fla, where many of South Florida’s top prospects showcased their skills.

The 2019 four-star wide John Dunmore was one of the highest ranked prospects at the camp and showed why. Dunmore had a great day as he showed off his hands, speed and quickness. The former Florida commit impressed from the get go and really stood out.

Dunmore de-committed from the Florida Gators shortly after the coaching change, but the new Florida staff is still recruiting him. “They came to see me when I was at Delray a few times. They’ve only been to Chaminade once," said Dunmore. “The head coach (Dan Mullen) said that I would look good in blue and orange. It’s still like a family over there, there’s no burned bridges or anything.”

Despite the decommitment, Florida will still be one of Dunmore’s top choices going forward as the one time commit is still being heavily recruited by Florida. He did mention that he will announce a top 10 soon with Florida sure to be included along with the likes of Ohio State, Notre Dame and Penn State.
