On Sunday afternoon Florida picked up a commitment from a prospect located close to home when Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz 2019 defensive back Trent Whittmore pledged to the Gators.

On Thursday Florida extended an offer to 2018 Bradenton (Fla.) Branden River defensive end Taylor Upshaw. the 6-foot-5, 240-pounder has received quite a few offers this spring including ones from Clemson, Tennessee and others.

Here are two more offers Florida has extended today:

* The bigger of the two offers went out to 2019 Eugene (Org.) Sheldon Rivals100 quarterback Michael Johnson. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder received an offer from Georgia as well.

* Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz 2019 athlete Trent Whittemore received his first Power 5 offer when the Gators extended one earlier today.

RIVALS100 LINEMAN RELEASES TOP 11

After not really being mentioned much by him until this spring, Florida has now made the top 11 of Katy (Tx.) Taylor Rivals100 defensive end Max Wright.

Though the No. 45 rated prospect in the nation is located in the heart of Big 12 country, Wright's list is heaivly populated with SEC programs.

TAKE CORBIN BACK OFF THE BOARD

After decommitting from Tennessee just days ago, Melbourne (Fla.) Holy Trinity four-star all-purpose back Jashaun Corbin has made a new commitment, this time to Florida State.

Unlike his pledge to the Volunteers, this one to the Seminoles could directly impact Florida's board.

How does ths impact the Gators with prospects such as James Cook and Dameon Pierce?

Florida has extended an offer to Port Orange (Fla.) Spruce Creek 2020 linebacker Tyler Berrong.

Not long afterward the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder also picked up an offer from North Carolina.
