Tanner's Take: Allen has looked good in his first couple practices as a Gator. There isn't a large sample of work to discuss because when the squad came together as a unit on Friday, his snaps dropped off. However, from what we saw in the opening practice on Wednesday he gets the ball out quickly, but has the tendency to throw a wobbly pass to the intended receiver every few throws. It is almost like he is overthrowing the ball. Don't expect him to see the field this season regardless.
Tanner's Take: One thing that stands out about Davis is his lateral quickness. He’s able to move side to side quickly and puts his foot in the ground to get north or south with the football. Davis has a solid set of hands and could be a target for quarterbacks out of the backfield.
