For much of the spring and even into early summer Florida wasn't considered to be much of a player for the services of Apopka (Fla.) 6-foot-4, 295-pound three-star offensive lineman Ed Montilus.
Auburn, Miami and North Carolina were considered to be the main combatants.
Then Florida started to show more interest, and then the Gators extended an offer.
Since that point, Florida has been trending upward with the three-star Sunshine State lineman to the point that he considers the Gators to be one of two teams he is currently most interested in when it comes to who leads for his services.
