------
What are you looking forward to most about being a Gator?
Davis: “Just playing in The Swamp and being successful in my college career. I will be up there today [Tuesday], but I move in tomorrow [Wednesday].”
Where does Florida see you making the most impact?
Davis: “I will be starting off at safety, but they have said I can rotate around during games. They could throw me out at nickel, maybe some corner.”
Florida has told you over and over again about the opportunity for early playing time. Does that hit home a bit more when you see a guy like Chauncey Gardner have early success?
Davis: “It shows me that Coach [Torrian] Gray is a good coach and he teaches his players right and wrong and they aren’t scared to start a freshman. Me and the other defensive backs coming in want to keep that 'DBU' thing going. I think they have an opportunity to come in and play right away as a freshman.”
Do you know what number you want to wear?
Davis: “Two. It’s the number I had in high school.”
Who are you rooming with?
Davis: “I am rooming with Kemore Gamble. We are real close. I am excited about the newer dorms they have.”
What do you plan to major in at Florida?
Davis: “I am going to study business.”
What are your expectations for your freshman year?
Davis: “I just want to come in and make a big impact.”
You were solid with Florida your entire recruiting process, but were there a few schools that posed a threat to the Gators?
Davis: “Probably Miami and Tennessee. I liked Tennessee’s Swag and Miami was telling me a lot of the same things as Florida, but you know I had to keep the 'DBU' tradition going. I had the best relationship with Florida’s coaches. I like the whole staff. After I started taking all those visits to Florida, I knew that is where I wanted to be.”
