Five Questions: Previewing Florida's match-up with LSU

With No. 21 Florida (3-1, 3-0 SEC) set to host LSU (3-2, 0-1 SEC) in The Swamp on Saturday in a nationally broadcast showdown (3:30 p.m. ET on CBS), Inside the Gators presents five questions worth considering for the annual cross-division clash.

1. Will LSU be the first team to contain freshman athlete Kadarius Toney?

In the past three games, Florida has gradually made Toney more involved in the offense. The freshman athlete from Eight Mile, Ala. plays both wide receiver and wildcat quarterback. As a ball-carrier, Toney is averaging 11 yards per rush (6 carries, 66 yards).

What has been most impressive is that the Toney wildcat runs have been productive even in obvious running situations. LSU is working to change that this week, using freshman dual-threat quarterback Lowell Narcisse to simulate Toney in practice. It might seem excessive to prepare for a player who has only carried the ball six times in four games, but the Tigers are determined to be ready for Toney.
