Florida gets mixed news on South Florida targets at UA check-in day

While Florida is no longer in the running for Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star linebacker Nikolas Bonitto, the Gators may have the inside edge on signing one of the fastest wide receivers in the nation.

Anthony Schwartz, a four-star wideout out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage, said he definitely has narrowed his college choices down to Florida and Auburn while talking to a throng of reporters at the Under Armour All-American Media Day on Saturday at Orlando Marriott World Center.

But the Gators, who stumbled to a 4-7 record with one of the worst offenses in the country, could come out the winner on National Signing Day on Feb. 7, 2018 – thanks to their two-time defending national champion men’s outdoor track and field team.
