When Florida played host to several top targets two weekends ago, it was West Palm Beach (Fla.) Oxbridge Academy four-star safety C.J. Smith who was deemed most likely to commit.

Though he didn't pull the trigger at that time, upon leaving campus he did admit that he was tempted to do so.

“It crossed my mind I was really close,” admitted Smith. “I definitely feel like I want to get things done sooner and not bring pressure to myself. I probably will commit late in the spring or probably summertime.”

In the end, he didn't have to or want to wait until the summer. Instead, he committed to Florida on Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pouner choose Florida over offers from the likes of Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee and many others.

We'll have more on Smith later this afternoon.

Until then please follow the discussion in the Alley.
