With under 10 days to go, the 2017 season is almost here. For some of the freshmen, that means they’re only days away from their debut. For others, they’ll have to wait a year before seeing the field.
Even at this stage in the fall, it’s not always easy to forecast which freshmen will play this season. While talent plays a factor, returning depth at the position, an unexpected injury - or suspension - and a freshman’s preparedness also have to be considered. With that in mind, Inside the Gators predicts which freshmen will suit up for Florida this season.
Today, it's time to break down the group on offense.

TIME TO SUIT UP: If they remain healthy, these three are all but assured to be a part of the action
The rundown on Davis: Davis, a speedy ball-carrier who can make defenders miss, has been one of the most impressive freshmen in camp. A potential fresh set of legs off the bench, Davis will likely spell Jordan Scarlett and Lamical Perine. He is definitely ahead of fellow freshman Adarius Lemons and looks to have replaced Mark Thompson at No. 3 on the depth chart.
The rundown on Green: Wide receiver is one of the team’s deeper positions, but Green has had a strong camp, even getting in some first-team reps. Green may not feature prominently in the offense this fall, but expect the 6-foot-1, sure-handed wideout to be a part of the rotation at wide receiver.
